6/30/09 - See How Strong I Am

I'm getting really good at sitting on my own. I still have to be propped up, I can't get there on my own, but I do spend a lot of time sitting!!!

6/29/09 - Play Time

We got to go to the pool this afternoon. Momma couldn't take any pictures though as her hands were full with me. When we got back, I got to roll around on the floor, and scream and giggle to my hearts content.

6/27/09 - Our Big Boy

We'll he's grown out of half the clothes I brought to Wyoming for him. And of course, with us going to two church meetings totaling 10 days in the middle of July, he's too big for his khakis (9 month size). So we went out and got him some more clothes. And he's almost out of his PJs... (12 month size). It just amazes me how different the sizing is.

6/26/09 - Story Time

After Momma read to me, I got to find out what a good story tastes like. My verdict - Yum!

6/25/09 - My First Swim

Daddy and Momma took me to the pool here at the apartment today. It was really fun. I did inhale a little water when Daddy dunked me even though he blew in my face. They're trying to figure out how to get me to hold my breath... but after we got the water out and I had a quick snuggle in my towel with Momma, we went right back in and I got to splash!

6/24/09 - Momma Day

I was happy today as long as Momma was playing with me. Even when she would sit me up, I'd giggle for a second or two and then tried to dive onto her. I don't know why she didn't just hold me all day... that would have made the day perfect.

6/23/09 - Giggle Box

It feels so good to just let loose and giggle, and we get many occasions a day to do just that.

6/22/09 - Tummy Time

We had a catch up day. Mostly on sleep, but Goy really liked being able to roll all over the place.

6/21/09 - Happy Father's Day Daddy

Goy let Daddy sleep in a little and then it was time for cards and Daddy's present, then off we went. We checked out of the hotel and headed east on Grand Loop Drive towards Tower Falls (forgot to mention we went through the Roosevelt Arch on Saturday morning at 4 when we entered the park through the north entrance). We saw a momma black bear down by a tree and her two cubs up the tree playing. She was just relaxing. We were able to see Tower Falls and the Canyon, Lower and Upper Falls before the weather turned cold and too wet again. Then we left for home (about a 6 hour drive). Wouldn't you know it, 3 hours east of the park, we saw our first Moose and they were everywhere for about 30 minutes. We got home at 11:30 and unloaded the car, Goy was so happy to roll on the floor. Goy had slept most of the day, so he and Momma stayed up until 1:30am so he could get his energy out before bed.

Goy handed Daddy the card he signed (see Friday's post) first thing in the morning. They both enjoyed the giggling recording inside and Daddy was a Proud Papa to wear his shirt all day (he had many people comment, including one dad say it was an "awesome shirt" which just made his day).

Daddy and Goy at Lower Falls look out at the canyon. We were able to see a good part of the canyon as well as Upper Falls all from this trail. It was about a 3/4 mile trek down and back up switchbacks, but we had a great time and the view was definitely worth it.

Wouldn't want to try to take on that water fall...

The water was so beautiful.

We were able to get a nice woman to take a picture of the three of us. We sure had a fun time in Yellowstone and hope to go back to spend more time there in the future.

6/20/09 - Yellowstone Day 1

We were able to catch a couple hours sleep and then off we went south on Grand Loop Drive. We made it to Old Faithful and saw it erupt when the sun was shinning and it was about 70 degrees. Two hours later after lunch and wandering through the Old Faithful Inn, it was raining with thunderstorms and about 50 degrees. So we spent the rest of the day in the car, except for a quick run into the stores at Canyon. We saw black bears, elk, bison, pronghorn, chipmunks, geese and pelicans.

Bison abound - we saw bison on almost every road. A couple were literally on the road.

Momma and Goy at Roaring Mountain.
Old Faithful went off about 2 minutes after we arrived. Ignore the date stamps. They are wrong. The time on our camera was off :).

Daddy and Goy at Old Faithful Inn.

I want to drive - Goy behind the wheel at the cascades. No we weren't actually moving.
